Shriners Hospitals for Children® is a health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding teaching programs for medical professionals. Children up to age 18 with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay.
The event will be held for 2011 at Hilton of Ocala. Join us for fun, food and festivity….a gastronomic sensation. Gourmet food by some of North Central Florida’s finest establishments, as well as beer and wine tasting, oils, spices, a multitude of flavors and a truly remarkable experience for the foodie in you. A unique jazz fusion band will compliment the wafting aromas of delectable gluttony. So good it’s almost sinful.
This year, the 2009 and 2010 Two Time Champion, Chef Rick Alabaugh, will be taking on two of North Central Florida’s best challengers at the Hilton of Ocala.
The secret ingredient will be revealed to each chef in a 15 minute stagger start. Each chef will then have one (1) hour to complete a three course meal, consisting of an appetizer, entrée, and desert, with all dishes utilizing the secret ingredient. The competition will be broadcast throughout the venue on closed circuit television in real time.
